Creating Brave Spaces at Work with Brittany Cole
Everyone wants to have a good experience at their job and to work for an organization where you feel valued and can thrive.
But for many people, that’s not the case. Toxic company culture can create a challenging work environment, especially for people of color.
That’s something that Brittany Cole found when speaking to groups about leadership and professional development. She kept hearing the same stories over and over again––that many people felt stuck and unhappy and unfilled in their workplace.
That’s why she left her job in corporate America to start Career Thrivers, a company that provides leadership development, curriculum and training to help businesses engage and retain diverse talent and cultivate a company of inclusion.
During our conversation, Brittany shares what it means to create brave spaces at work where everyone can thrive. If you want to create a truly inclusive workplace that goes beyond checking a box, this is a terrific conversation you won’t want to miss.
In this episode, we also talk about entrepreneurship, pulling together a TedX talk in a week and thriving through grief and loss.
Brittany shared so much wisdom in our conversation and it was truly an honor to talk to her. I enjoyed this interview so much and I hope you will too!
