Fighting the Stigma of Addiction with Ashley Surma

Sometimes, the challenges we face are not ones we choose, like starting a business or ending a relationship, but instead challenges of circumstance. Of life situations that we can’t control.

That was the case for Ashley Surma.

Ashley grew up with a father who struggled with substance abuse. And as a result, at a young age, she learned that the choice she did have was how to respond––she could let it hurt and hinder her or she could choose to rise higher, despite the circumstances.

She chose the latter. And in today’s episode, we’ll hear how she navigated this challenge in her life and how she’s now helping others do the same through her company, For the Good and her book, The Mountains We Climb.
